Resonation Diet: Week 26

Hello, fellow resonators, hope you are all well!

So, what have I been doing and contemplating in Week 26?

Well, 26 weeks is exactly half a year. But the question isn’t where has the time gone, it’s why hasn’t the fat gone?

This is the rundown of the last 6 months. I have had 6 months to eat daily Resonating foods, think wisely about my decisions, and keep score of my own resonating and efforts… and I’m usually always right. I also know that, because I’m usually always right, it’s going to take a lot more than 6 months to undo and rewire the program inside me regarding my weight that runs on autopilot to a tune that sounds something like this:

“No matter what I do, I can’t lose weight.

No matter what diet I try it doesn’t work for me.

I can’t exercise like everyone else because I’ve got arthritis.

I’m just a chunky monkey, dinky pie, and that’s my shape. 

I’ve not got a personal trainer, dietitian, or access to expensive organic foods like rich people.

Slimming World, Weight Watchers have even told me that I will have to do something different.

I have a slow metabolism.

My thyroid is on the cusp but not so bad that the doctor will give me a tablet for.”

Those are just a few of the pathways that are deeply wired in my brain!

Even when I have a purely positive conscious day of affirming, meditating, and doing mantras while thinking and feeling totally fit and healthy, I know I’m only brushing off the top layers. It’s going to take a radical approach to get this ingrained. I need more healthy foods, more time to cook, more products to try so I can try everything, instead of just saying I’ve tried everything. However, I know this isn’t true because I won’t try Atkins or the Dukan diet because I’m vegetarian and everyone’s chatting around me so much about how I need to eat protein to get slim and have fewer carbs.

I do know I need to give up unnatural sugar forever!

This needs to be my mid-year resolution now. And I do like pea-protein drinks with almond milk and wheatgrass, so I’m going to make sure I incorporate these too. All the small changes are helping me to create a new program, but I think because I’m trialling and trusting at the moment, and this diet of mine isn’t really established or hasn’t got any set rules and I’m coasting it week to week, then it’s not going to be effective. The fact is, if I didn’t do anything at the start of the year, I’d have been fatter by now, so at least that’s one good thing. I just need to see if by the end of the year the change has been radical because of my mindset. This will be very interesting to me because my heart really feels a “yes” to the notion that my weight is stuck to me for other mental reasons.

I have untold stories; this is so true that it’s hard to dismiss that anyone would say it and then me hear it if it wasn’t meant for me. By the end of July, when my 4 books are out and I’m able to get on with my fantasy novels once and for all (after 13 years of working on the concept), I will be so happy if my weight falls off and proves their theory. I will also delve deeper into this phenomenon and study the human body and mind correlation in more depth. 

Anyway, for now, I am so busy again this week due to me working on getting my 3rd book, Resonating Meditations ready for release on Sunday as that’s the 7th of the 7th… which seems like a good omen, as everything I do is in sevens. I’ve also got to finish developing Resonating Mantras in order to get it back to the editor. I’ve also been setting up my Patreon account up and my services so they’re all ready for when the advertising campaigns begin. 

One thing I haven’t forgotten to do under this much pressure and workload is to meditate and do my mantras. I won’t make that mistake again. Coming away for that break actually allows your mind to download the information you wouldn’t have been able to receive otherwise. I’ve had valuable help and serendipity happen to me when I’ve stopped editing in a particular place and then found what I needed easier than if I’d been frantically searching for it.

I’ve also not allowed myself to eat crap because I haven’t had time to cook or prepare. I’ve even gone to the sales aisle in Waitrose to get healthy and natural vegan foods at the end of their day. I’m probably coming across as a struggling, poor artist this week and, even though the poor part might be correct for now, that’s not my intention. It’s just a fact of life that it’s hard to eat and cook healthy and prepare and manage foods in this “rush rush rush” day and age. The majority of people are on minimum wage, if that, and so I want to eat, but I also want to be able to afford to do so and be thrifty where possible. 

Beans have been a lifesaver for me. Other cheap foods to fill you up on a budget are bananas and apples. I sometimes get myself cherries and grapes occasionally, but I don’t splash out on raspberries and blueberries that often as they’re more of a luxury item. I’d love to be able to afford them each week and because my fella is a chef we could cook lots of foods and recipes and goodies if I had the cash. So what I’m going to do is (once my Patreon account is set up), use some of the support I get on there to buy these foods.

This way, I can make this a better and more exciting blog where my fella can cook the meals for us over there and I can write them out and share the recipes with you all on here. I’m working on the logistics and how it will work at the moment because if just one person supports me for $3, that won’t buy many ingredients, so I have to make sure I can fulfil my promises on there first. And of course, the other challenge is to convince my fella to let me film him. 

Maybe if I do one cooking show per month, I will be able to afford it no matter how many patrons I have, so we’ll see. It’s just an idea at the moment, so I will thank you in advance for your patience.
