Question… “Who am I and what am I doing?”
I’m a woman who was brought up a Catholic until I decided that, if there was a god, he (or later on “it”) didn’t do some of the things people said he did. A woman who then went on to study other religions, to find my own spiritual path from deciphering the advice in each, taking from them the parts that resonate with my inner being and my sense of what’s right and wrong.
Transfixed by the Buddhist notion that we can create the world with our thoughts, I also studied Law of Attraction and religions together to see if I could again come up with my own version that I felt was right… I was, and still am, on a mission to see if we humans can become more powerful, and create alternate universes for ourselves; one where everything we want works out for us, and one where all possibilities we envision may exist!
On this journey, I have discovered my own ways in which the more we believe, the more we can achieve, can really work, and have also proven that it’s wrong to say that people who are suffering have caused that themselves.
If you’re on a spiritual path, want to resonate with ancient techniques, philosophers and spiritual teachers of past and present and enter an alternate universe where you can create the life of your dreams, then you’re in the right place.
Question… “What am I doing at this moment?“
I’m in the process of writing Resonating Meditations, due out end of May/beginning of June, and preparing lots of goodies for the competition people can enter. Then I’ll be writing Resonating Mantras, due out end of July all going to plan! That’s when I will announce the winners of my comp, check it out and get your free MP3 if you haven’t already!

WHAT DO I READ FOR PLEASURE?
I mostly read motivational, inspirational, spiritual, new age/ new thought, mind, body and spirit, Buddhist, and Law of Attraction books. Some of my favourite authors and speakers are Jim Rohn, Earl Nightingale, Tony Robbins, Les Brown, Wayne Dyer, Greg Braden and of course the Dalai Lama.
WHAT DOES MY DESK/OFFICE LOOK LIKE?
I have two desks in my office. My writer’s desk is a battered old wobbly thing. It has my apple computer in the centre and has chakra coloured crystals in a semi-circle at its base. I have a pile of writers’ books to my right, and a printer with a microphone sitting on top, permanently ready for me to record my Resonating Mantras and Meditations that I put on YouTube each month, and to record my audio books and my free MP3 for readers who sign up to my mailing list.
Above this desk, on the wall, are boards and cards with lots of lists for me to do. I can also spin my chair around to my artist’s desk, which is covered in paint and always has a work in progress on it. To the right of this desk is a set of draws full of art supplies. To the left, the art supplies I’m using at any one time on a project. The wall above is entirely filled with canvases I’m in the middle of painting.
It’s my arty little cave, and I love it.
WHERE DID I GROW UP?
I grew up in Failsworth, Manchester, England. Manchester has its own culture, and it’s where I found my Buddhist centre which had a massive influence on me. I was brought up a Catholic, but I always felt that the religion wasn’t quite in sync to what I felt inside, or what I thought actually went on with the universe. When I found Buddhism, I understood why.
WHAT’S THE STORY BEHIND THE RESONATION REALM?
After I discovered and begun putting into practice Law of Attraction principles, and finding out what worked and what didn’t quite sit well with me (and therefore didn’t work) I began to form the Resonation Realm and that was when I knew I could come up with affirmations that would work better than “normal” affirmations.
I have proved to myself many times that affirmations work, but I knew they would work better if I believed what I was saying first, and if the declaration resonated with me as a spiritual being in other ways too.
After taking in the Law of Attraction’s good points, and eliminating the bad, and understanding what Gregg Braden teaches about the heart and mind, I began perfecting the technique and can honestly say I’ve have had excellent results myself, like same day manifestations! That’s when I felt it was time I wrote the book.
WHEN DID I FIRST START WRITING?
I have written poems and songs since I can remember… like, maybe even aged seven, and have obtained song writing deals in Nashville, but I started writing urban fantasy novels with a spiritual theme (under a pen name) around 12 years ago. This is the first time I have written non-fiction books.
WHY HAVE I CHOSEN TO BE AN INDIE AUTHOR?
If Joanna Penn at the Creative Penn says it’s the most intelligent choice, then it is! All the biggest earners and names are now going that way too, most of them regretting the deals they’ve signed up for and are still tied to… the contracts that sign away the rights to use and do with what they want with their own material.
But, even if it weren’t the thing to do like it is right now, I would have still done it. Having to ask someone else’s permission when I can sell my book, where I can sell it, and how much for, and not being able to produce my own art for the covers, has never sounded like my idea of fun. Not to mention having to give them the majority of the profits when they don’t even market or promote the book for you. Paying the same people who will snatch it off the shelves and dump you if you don’t sell enough in the first year more than you get, is not something I’d be rushing out to do.
It’s a lot of work to run your own publishing company, but you have to do a lot anyway. The only reason I’d have gone to a traditional publisher would be so they could market and shout about it, instead of shy old me who doesn’t like to get in people’s faces… but the first thing they ask now is “how many people have you got following you on social media”.
This tells you right away that you have to do it all anyway so what’s the point in them… apart from status? Well, guess what? I’m not proud and (being a true Manc) I’m far from a snob!
WHAT JOY DOES WRITING GIVE YOU?
With my urban fantasy novels, I can write what I would love to read, and in these spiritual books, I can do the same, while also proving we are magical in real life. Magic in any form gives me joy.
HOW DO YOU FEEL ABOUT FANS?
When people who read my books or listen to my meditations or mantras say, they liked them, enjoyed them, and that they have helped them to attract a desire or rid themselves of something they didn’t want means the world to me.
What can I say? It brings me great pleasure and a real sense of achievement, to help others live their dream lives. I’d like all my fans to live in alternate universes, where everything they want works out for them.
I’m writing Resonating Meditations at the moment, then Resonating Mantras, then I will see where inspiration takes me next.
WHAT DO YOU DO IN YOUR SPARE TIME?
I practice Buddhist and Reiki principles, meditate every day, create relaxing Resonating Music that creates peace and enhances my overall wellbeing and hence tightens my attractive vibration. As well as reading spiritual books, I also read anything to do with quantum physics, and I read fantasy and watch fantasy programs on Netflix. I’m learning to play the Rav Vast drum at the moment, and writing spiritual songs to go with the music too.
WHAT WAS THE FIRST EVER STORY YOU WROTE?
It was when I was in school, and it was about a girl who could think about what she wanted and it would appear… how strange that this still happens in my fantasy and in my spiritual books too… I must have known it was somehow possible!
WHAT IS YOUR WRITING PROCESS?
Nowadays, I have an idea, then I write a beginning middle and end, then fill out the centre with scene titles, or notes for topics I want covering before I write.
In the old days, I would just write one long, continuous blah that didn’t have paragraphs or sentence structure or even chapters… like 200,000 words. (I think I have slight dysgraphia…) Then I’d spend time cutting, moving and stressing over the whole thing… and correcting grammar.
Now, I have the process that tells me what needs to go where at what time it’s much better.
HOW DO YOU DESIGN THE COVERS?
I create the artwork, and then commission a graphic designer to make the covers to the right size. My fella is learning to do them for me at the moment.
WHAT ARE YOUR TOP 5 FAVOURITE BOOKS?
For this, I will only refer to the spiritual books…
1, Greg Braden, speaking the lost languages of god. Because it rings true to me.
2, Dalai Lama, the art of happiness. Because he’s right.
3, Lao Tzu, Tao te Ching. Because you just have to read this and find something profound in life
4, The Power of Intention, Wayne Dyer. Because his idea of intention is better than the Law of Attraction.
5, Ask, and it’s Given. Esther and Jerry Hicks. Because there’s so much in there that resonates with me, even if Abraham says other things that don’t.
